The Club was originally formed at a meeting held on Wednesday 8 December 1954, under the Chairmanship of Mr. L. W. Bray. At this meeting it was decided to form a Club, and plans were set in motion for the eventual application for a licence. Permission was obtained from the Blacktown Sub-branch of the RSL to use the existing RSL Hall for the purposes of the Club. Mr. Bray was elected President of the newly-formed Club, and remained in that position for two years, during which period a great deal of the preliminary work was done and the club continued to evolve over many years..
Currently it is a exciting time for Club Blacktown with their recent refurbishment catering to families with children of all ages. In the new area on level 1 called “The Greens” you will find a family friendly bar, café, lounge and alfresco dining area. The kids will be entertained too with an indoor playground, arcade machines, an outdoor big screen TV and a shaded outdoor playground that even features a couple of cubby houses.
